1990
From this point forward, Berdicks success grew in leaps and bounds and because of all his selfless effort and contributions to the business; in mid-1990, Abe Wiebe decided to purchase Berdick Windows and Doors from his business partners and turned it into a family owned business. For almost 20 years, Abe and his family managed the company not only as a continuing successful business venture but as one of the many positive contributing family owned business’ in the community of Winkler.
1980’s
In the 1980’s, Berdick ventured into the residential window and door market with its manufacturing focus on PVC windows. Alongside the new PVC windows, was the introduction of insulated steel residential doors; and yet once more, the road to success was clearly paved by Berdick Windows and Doors.
1969/70
In 1969, to meet the ever-growing demand; a partnership was developed with Mr. Abe Wiebe of Winkler, Manitoba. Following in 1970, the Berdick Windows and Doors manufacturing plant in Winkler, Mb. came to fruition with a total of 6 employees. Under Mr. Wiebes’ leadership; Berdick Windows and Doors began its operations with their primary products being aluminum windows for modular homes and trailer doors for mobile recreational vehicles.
