1960
1960’s

The roots of Berdick Windows and Doors were planted in the 1960’s, when two entrepreneurs’ by the names of Bert and Dick Groenheide (Where the “Berdick” name originates from) designed and produced aluminum slider windows out of their garage.

1970
1969/70

In 1969, to meet the ever-growing demand; a partnership was developed with Mr. Abe Wiebe of Winkler, Manitoba. Following in 1970, the Berdick Windows and Doors manufacturing plant in Winkler, Mb. came to fruition with a total of 6 employees. Under Mr. Wiebes’ leadership; Berdick Windows and Doors began its

1980
1980’s

In the 1980’s, Berdick ventured into the residential window and door market with its manufacturing focus on PVC windows. Alongside the new PVC windows, was the introduction of insulated steel residential doors; and yet once more, the road to success was clearly paved by Berdick Windows and Doors.

1990
1990

From this point forward, Berdicks success grew in leaps and bounds and because of all his selfless effort and contributions to the business; in mid-1990, Abe Wiebe decided to purchase Berdick Windows and Doors from his business partners and turned it into a family owned business. For almost 20 years,

2009
2009

In 2009, the current ownership group purchased the business from Abe Wiebe. This group of new owners saw the positive impact and flourishing business that Abe had created and knew they were the right people to take it further along its road of success.

2011
2011

An ever growing demand for Commercial Windows, design driven residential builds and lite commercial project drove Berdick to add Fiberglass Windows to it’s product offering in 2011.

Today, Berdick is one of the leading PVC & Fiberglass Window and Door manufacturers in the industry; with quality driven manufacturing, a large investment in people and technology.
